It is such an honor to be serving our local community through curating confidence around natural beauty, and we have all of our clients to thank for entrusting us!

Apply B’Leave In to the roots of your hair before blowdrying to keep your locks from falling flat. **Don’t forget your thermal protectant, too, and follow with a moisture treatment to get your curls back into shape!**

Supercream Coconut Styler

This cream is one of our favorites for curly hair because of the moisture-boost it gives while defining curls! Because of the moisture and hold components of Supercream, it can double as an Edge Tamer or Pomade when you’re wearing updo styles and ponytails. Add a small amount around your edges to prevent frizz and hold your flyaways in place!

1. Versus Hair Studio was created in 2011.

2. We have been specializing in curls for over 6 years.

3. Our salon brought DevaCurl to Virginia Beach in 2012 and remained the only Deva-Certified salon through 2017.

4. The name “Versus” was inspired by the dream of catering to all textures and types of hair – curly versus straight ; relaxed versus natural ; heat styling versus protective styling – we do it all!

5. Our stylists attend continuing education at least once per month either in our salon or through an outside class. It is imperative that we keep up with the ever-changing trends and practice our craft so that we’re always ready for fresh new ideas.

6. Because we service such a diverse range of clients, we are constantly testing new product lines that we think would work well. We will try a product several times on several textures before deciding to carry and offer it.

7. We will create custom products for you! Getting a rainbow color service? Ask for a custom conditioner to keep your color vibrant!

8. We are always looking for more ways to reach clients who require our expertise, and our most frequent request is a Richmond location. 

9. We offer consultations anytime at no charge so you always have an opportunity to speak with a stylist about your hair goals and receive support for frustrations you might have. Helping you feel confident in your natural beauty is our primary goal!

We have spent years locating the most diverse product lines that offer the best results for a wide range of curls, and we’re here to take the guessing away for you while also saving you money and bathroom sink space ;)

With this new service, one of our curl-specialists will wash and style your hair in three different sections using different product lines and combinations in each to help you see which results work best for you! Afterwards, your stylist will do a final wash-n-go with your desired product cocktail and walk you through step-by-step so you can recreate the results at home!

This service is designed with you in mind - we know curly girls go through so much product, time, and effort looking for the best product to work for you! We want to help take some of the guess work out by using our curl expertise to narrow down what we know will help your curls pop!
